hi everyone! I am sharing my support letter with you all 🙂 I mailed some out in early December, but if you did not get the chance to see it or did not receive one in the mail… here it is:
Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I understand life is crazy and I can’t thank you enough for taking a few moments to read what has been going on in my life. When you are finished reading, I hope you will leave knowing my heart better and truly see my desire for Jesus and His people.
If you have not already heard, I would like to share a new opportunity that has been opened up for me. In September 2020, I will be leaving for nine months, living in three different countries, and sharing the love of Jesus.
I am traveling through an organization called Adventures in Missions, but more specifically, The World Race Gap Year. I chose a route that will take me to Swaziland (Etswani), Ethiopia, and Cambodia. I will be working alongside my squad–who I have come to love so much already.
We are going to be the hands and feet of Jesus and serve anyone who is put in front of us. What that may look like; serving children impacted by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Swaziland, caring for the elderly in Ethiopia, and teaching English in Cambodia.
I want to see lives changed all over the world. I’m excited to see what God will do in and through me on this trip and I am inviting you to be a part of my team!
There are two goals I need to accomplish as I prepare for this trip. The first is to create a prayer team. Pray for guidance as I prepare spiritually, financially, and mentally. Pray for me and my team that we will serve Him well, and lastly pray for the people we will be serving. This journey will not be easy, so if you would like to partner with me prayerfully, you can send me an email ([email protected]), and I will send you prayer updates leading up to and on the World Race.
The second part is fundraising. The total cost of this trip is $15,800. It covers the cost of training, travel, shelter, and food. The sound of this is very overwhelming, but I believe God will provide. You may not be traveling to a foreign country yourself, however, you enable me to answer the call put on my heart. Helping me so I can help others.
