Hopping on a plane tomorrow to go visit a squamate and as I am anxiously waiting I am thinking about how I can be the best version of myself and live a good and plentiful life. I want to serve others and the Lord, better my relationships and live the life God has planned out for me. Below are things about life I wish I would have taken control of sooner & that I am working on now and learning new things about each and every day:
1. Complaining less: The biggest waste of time there is.
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing” Philippians 2:14
2. Surround yourself with people who will bring the best for you: You can’t be the best of yourself if you are not surrounding yourself with people who want the best for you. Surround yourself with the people who care for you and provide you with wisdom.
“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” Proverbs 13:20
3. Pour into the word: The best thing you can do for yourself and even others. The key to become wiser. By doing this for yourself you will be able to pour into family and friends lives by helping them become stronger in their faith.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
4. Live in the moment: Unplug. Detach. Enjoy the small things because the moments do not last forever and for most they only happen once. Worry about the now not the past or the future.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34
5. Take Action: Find your passion and do it. Take the risks. You are in charge of your own actions, so find what you want to do and do it! Make it a life worth living. One full of joy & faith. Make it all count, and enjoy it all. Don’t wait for others to tell you what to do or what they think because it doesn’t matter at the end of the day.
“And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Luke 11:9
