Hello!! I know these times are hard! People are losing jobs, families are dealing with sick loved ones, others are lonely and we aren’t able to see some family, students are missing out on some of the best years of school, and healthcare workers are going to work everyday not knowing what to expect. There are little answers to the many questions we have. BUT– God is so faithful. He had a plan for all of this way before we even knew the virus existed. We have it so good where we are. We have roofs over our head, the access to grocery stores and restaurants. We are being forced to be at home and spend time with our families–we are growing better relationships with them! Everyone always says they need more family time and now we have it!! We are able to slow down, take one day at a time, and enjoy life in the moment. He works and mysterious ways and maybe this is a blessing in disguise. So be thankful!! It is not always easy to look at the good, especially in such difficult times, but when you do, it is so rewarding and refreshing. I challenge you all to try to think of all the good things you have in your life–maybe write it down in the comments so we can spread some positivity.
I also have been listening to Way Maker by Leeland on repeat! It reminds me of the situation we are in and gives me so much peace and hope so go listen to it!!!
So with that being said let, here is something I have been grateful for:
WOW- words cannot begin to describe how grateful I am for all of you. I have received so much encouragement and support in the last few days it is unreal. On Friday, I had a call with our squad mentor and two other girls whom I am traveling with. At the end, Maddie, our mentor, asked for prayer requests. I specifically asked her to pray that I would become diligent in my fundraising–because I had barely even thought about fundraising at all before that call. That night my mom agreed to let me use her raffle page on facebook, and guide me through the whole process. This weekend I sold close to 10 of my shirts, had the opportunity to buy my big pack for SO cheap from a WR alumni and yesterday I started my Adopt-A-Box fundraiser. So within four days I have raised close to $1000 dollars. I have had people reach out to me and encourage me as well as help me control all of these fundraisers. Prayer works, and God is crazy good! I AM SO THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOU! You guys are amazing and are helping this dream of mine become reality. Thank you for the constant support, especially this weekend when I felt I needed it most. Thank you for reading my blogs, and facebook posts. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Psalm 9:1 I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
