WERE GOING TO LOUISIANA!

You heard that right! We finally get to leave the little bubble we have created here in Georgia and leave the state…FOR MINISTRY!

We are partnering with Samaritans Purse! We will be ministering to families whose homes were damaged during Hurricane Laura. Beyond the physical help, we will be able to connect with homeowners of these houses emotionally and spiritually. Some of the physical needs could look like chainsaw work, roof trapping, and debris removal.

Our squad leaves on Sunday morning! We were supposed to leave Saturday, however a new hurricane is hitting Lake Charles as I type this sentence. It’s going to make our work down there even more powerful. We are so pumped to be able to come alongside these people physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

When I first heard we were leaving I was so excited- we get to finally leave Georgia, and do ministry!? I am a little nervous now. I realized this is going to be way harder than I expected. I have heard of hurricanes but never really gave them much thought or realized they could do as much damage as they do. As I started to prepare my heart for this trip, I felt God tell me to read the book of Matthew before I left-yikes. Im on chapter 4 now so we will see what happens with that (lol).

A squad was in LA this past week, and God worked through them in awesome ways. In the first two days, they were able to tarp damaged roofs, and we were told they had 6 SALVATIONS-praise the Lord! They evacuated to Texas due to the current hurricane, and will return this week to finish their ministry. He is already moving so much down there and we can’t wait to be apart of that in this upcoming week :)))

Prayers, prayers, prayers for our squad as we travel, and begin to start ministry.
